One of the many reasons people don’t travel as much as they would like, besides financial restrictions or lack of time (due to strict work schedules and bossy bosses), is lack of companionship. For a lot of people, the thought of walking through an unknown city, going to a local pub, or sitting on a beach on a place you don’t even know the language, while being with no one but themselves, fills them up with anxiety or makes them feel like a trip not worth having because of boredom. Whatever the reason, is a fact that solo travel is something you must experience at least once.

Let me tell you, this is entirely normal if solo travel is something new for you, but don’t let the anxiety of being with no one but yourself keep you from possibly having the time of your life, from meeting new and exciting people, discovering places you probably didn’t even know they existed, and of course, from escaping the daily grind. I can tell you from experience, the first time I traveled solo, I was in Europe, I felt completely baffled and anxious, but after giving in to the thought of the array of adventures that were out there waiting for me and opened up myself to meet new people just like me. I felt pretty amazing!

Solo travel can be very satisfying and life-changing, especially if done right. If you are new to traveling solo, you must, of course, make the right choice of where you will be heading to next. These are the best spots for solo travelers in 2019, in no specific order.
